Basic Kits -- If you're a woodworker who doesn't want to spend your time searching for the "right" plans, sourcing wood, laying it out, and cutting it out, this is the kit for you. We give you parts cut to shape; you need to surface
sand, roundover edges, and drill and countersink holes. Stainless steel hardware is included, and we provide fully illustrated assembly instructions.
The tools you'll need to build these kits are:
- Surface sander (belt or drum)
- Router to round over edges
- Drill/driver to drill and countersink holes (#2 drill bit needed for stainless steel hardware)
- Glue
- Finish sander
- Tape measure
- Framing square
- Outdoor-grade finish (recommended)

Ready-to-Assemble Kits --
By contrast, our
ready-to-assemble kits are really ready-to-assemble furniture. Most of the work has been done for you. The surface sanding has been done,
the edges are rounded over, and the holes are drilled and countersunk. Depending on your personal preference, you may want to do a final sanding after assembly. To build our ready-to-assemble kits, you will need the
following tools:
- #2 square drive bit or driver
- Glue
- Sandpaper
- Tape measure
- Framing square (helpful but not required)
- Outdoor-grade finish (recommended)
